I have been fortunate enough to be offered the summer internship at the New England Historical Genealogical Society. Normally this internship is offered to BYU students, but they wanted someone in the area who would be able to come back. Basically, 2/3rds of the time I would be with Research Services working on research cases and the other third of the time is in the Special Collections Department working on a project for the archives. I am very excited to have this opportunity and it will be huge leap forward in my genealogical pursuits. I plan to start July 29th and work three days a week for six weeks. I am glad I went on the Washington DC trip and made these connections, apparently I am the youngest attender of an NEHGS research trip.
